Problem
Report generation was entirely manual and very time consuming. Field technicians entered data into Fulcrum, after which staff cut and pasted information into Word documents. This process repeated for each of four report variants whenever a job completed, leading to high time consumption and error risk.
Solution
Osher Digital built an end-to-end automation pipeline triggered by Fulcrum webhooks upon job completion.
- A self-hosted n8n instance received the webhook and orchestrated the workflow.
- Photos uploaded to Cloudflare R2 for S3-compatible storage.
- Data parsed sent to dynamic template to generate all four report variants using carbone.io.
- Carbone.io sent a webhook back to n8n once reports were ready.
- Draft reports emailed to the client for review and approval.
- An AI agent in n8n, powered by Qdrant vector store and open router, drafted report sections based on relevant legislation to augment human input.
- Error notifications routed to Osher Sentinel for immediate awareness.
- Scheduled cleanup jobs removed outdated images from R2 to control storage costs.
