Defect Prediction Agent
Some defects follow patterns. Certain materials, weather conditions, or build sequences produce the same problems over and over. This agent spots those patterns in your project data before the defect shows up on site.
About Defect Prediction Agent
The Problem
Certain construction defects are predictable if you know what to look for. Specific material combinations, weather conditions during placement, subcontractor performance patterns, and build sequences produce recurring problems. But this information is usually scattered across inspection reports, defect registers, and the memories of experienced supervisors. When that supervisor moves on, the knowledge goes with them.
How It Works
This agent analyses defect data from your completed and active projects — logged through Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360, or ACONEX — and identifies the conditions that preceded past defects. If your data shows that waterproofing failures correlate with installations done during high-humidity weeks, or that a particular framing configuration consistently produces movement cracks, the agent flags those risk factors on current projects when the same conditions arise.
It works with the data you already capture through your existing inspection and defect management processes. The more project history it has access to, the more accurate the predictions become.
Catching Problems Before They Are Built In
Defect rectification during the warranty period is one of the most frustrating costs in construction — you have finished the work, been paid, and now you are doing it again for free. By surfacing risk patterns from your own project data, this agent helps your site teams pay closer attention to the areas most likely to cause problems. It is not a replacement for good supervision, but it gives your supervisors a heads-up about where to look more carefully.
