What you can automate with Demio

Demio is a browser-based webinar platform designed for marketing and sales teams. Unlike older webinar tools that require desktop software or Java plugins, Demio runs entirely in the browser for both hosts and attendees. It supports live webinars, automated (pre-recorded) webinars, and hybrid events where pre-recorded content is combined with live Q&A. Demio is built with lead generation in mind. Registration pages are customisable and hosted by Demio, attendee engagement is tracked through polls, CTAs, handouts, and chat activity, and all of this data is available through the API or native integrations with CRMs and marketing platforms. The automated webinar feature lets you schedule a pre-recorded session to run on repeat at set times, which is useful for product demos or onboarding presentations that do not change frequently. For businesses using webinars as part of their sales funnel, the real value of Demio comes from connecting it to your downstream systems. When an attendee registers, their data can flow into your CRM. When they attend and engage with a poll or CTA, that activity can trigger follow-up sequences in your email platform. Using n8n or Demio’s native integrations, you can automate the entire webinar-to-sales pipeline. If you need help connecting Demio to your marketing and CRM stack, our sales automation team can build those workflows for you.

Demio FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about how Demio consultants can help with integration and implementation

No. Demio runs entirely in the browser. Attendees click a link and join the webinar without downloading anything. This removes a major friction point that causes drop-off with older webinar platforms like GoToWebinar or Zoom Webinars (though Zoom has improved on this in recent years).

Yes. You can record a webinar and schedule it to replay at set times as an automated event. Attendees register and join as if it were live. You can even add live chat on top of the pre-recorded content, so someone from your team can answer questions in real time during the replay.

Demio has native integrations with HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Marketo, Drip, Keap, and others. It also supports Zapier and has a REST API. Using n8n, you can trigger workflows based on registration, attendance, and engagement events, then push that data into any CRM or email platform.

Demio tracks registration, attendance (join/leave times), poll responses, CTA clicks, handout downloads, and chat messages. This engagement data is available per attendee in the Demio dashboard, through the API, or pushed to your CRM via integrations. It is useful for lead scoring and sales follow-up prioritisation.

Demio plans support from 50 to 1,000 attendees depending on the pricing tier. The Starter plan supports 50, Growth supports 150, and Premium supports up to 1,000. For larger events, Demio is not the right tool; you would look at platforms like Hopin or ON24 instead.

Yes. Using Demio's API or native integrations via n8n, you can trigger different follow-up sequences based on attendee behaviour. For example, someone who attended and clicked a CTA could receive a sales call booking link, while someone who registered but did not attend could receive the recording with a reschedule option.

How it works

Implementing Demio

Step 1

Create Your Webinar in Demio

Log into Demio and create a new event. Choose the event type: live, automated, or hybrid. Set the date, time, and registration page details. Customise the registration page with your branding, a description of the webinar topic, and any custom registration fields you need (company size, role, etc.).

Step 2

Set Up Registration Webhook or Integration

In Demio's integration settings, connect your CRM or set up a webhook URL pointing to an n8n workflow. When someone registers, Demio will send their details (name, email, custom fields) to your endpoint. Use this to create or update a contact in your CRM and tag them as a webinar registrant.

Step 3

Configure Engagement Features

In the Demio event editor, set up your in-webinar engagement tools: polls, CTAs (call-to-action buttons), handouts (downloadable files), and featured actions. Plan when each element will appear during the presentation. These interactions generate the engagement data you will use for follow-up segmentation.

Step 4

Build Post-Webinar Follow-Up Workflows

In n8n, create a workflow that triggers on Demio's post-event webhook. Segment attendees into groups based on their engagement: attended and engaged, attended but passive, and registered but did not attend. Route each group into a different email sequence or CRM pipeline stage.

Step 5

Run and Record the Webinar

Host your live webinar, making sure to record it. After the event, Demio provides analytics on attendance, engagement, and drop-off points. Review the recording and, if the content is evergreen, set it up as an automated webinar that replays on a schedule for ongoing lead generation.

Step 6

Optimise Based on Engagement Data

Review the post-webinar analytics: registration-to-attendance rate, average watch time, poll participation, and CTA click-through rate. Use this data to refine your next webinar's content, timing, and promotion strategy. Adjust your automated follow-up workflows based on what is converting.
